What is the mandatory dress of the competitors to participate in a show jumping competition in Italy?
In the race and during the reconnaissance of the route and the award ceremony, the competitors are required to comply with the regulations, namely:
Military:
- prescribed uniform with obligatory cap or other approved rigid helmet.
Seniors, Young Riders, Juniors, Children:
- Club dress, approved by the competent Regional Committee
- Federation Approved Sponsor Apparel
- Dress of the Regional Committee authorized by the same and approved by the Federation or:
- Red suit including: cap, red jacket, white or ivory white trousers, shirt, white collar and white tie or shirt or shirt with white plastron, black boots with or without brown lapels;
or:
- Black, blue, brown, green, dark or light gray suit including: cap, black or blue or dark or light gray or brown or green jacket, white or beige trousers, shirt, white collar and white tie or shirt or shirt with white plastron, black boots with or without black cuffs.
Furthermore, the presence of different color profiles with respect to the colors authorized by the same regulation is permitted.
Jodpurs are permitted for ponies.
For the Training Courses (warm up) the use of a cap, riding trousers, boots or ankle boots with gaiters is considered mandatory. In winter it is possible to wear a jacket or jacket, in summer it is possible to wear a shirt or polo shirt. With reference to sponsorships the legislation in force applies.
The boots can be replaced by ankle boots with gaiters in black leather (no suede).
It is mandatory for all competitors to always wear a cap when they are on horseback.
For very young, Children, Juniores and Young Riders competitors, it is mandatory, both in the practice area and in the competition, to use the chin strap applied to the cap with at least two fixing points on each side or with one point on each side and one in common positioned at the nape.
For Senior competitors the use of the cap (fastened) is mandatory not only in the competition field but also in the practice field during the jumps.
For female amazons or juniors, the use of the shirt with only the pistagnina is also permitted.
In any case, the competitor who views the route must obligatorily wear boots or ankle boots with gaiters.
Summer Estate
During the period between May 1st and September 30th the summer estate is authorized as follows:
- white short-sleeved polo shirt without tie for the riders and also a shirt with a "Korean" or pistagnina collar for the riders.
- Polo Club, approved by the relevant Regional Committee
- Sponsor's polo shirt approved by the Federation
- Pole of the Regional Committee authorized by the same and approved by the Federation
- Shirt (white or pale colour) with white collar and cuffs, short (no sleeveless) or long sleeves, with tie.
The regulation uniform may be required for participation in the Grand Prix.
The presence of technical guides in the competition area for the review of the route is allowed. Correct clothing is mandatory for technical guides. The Jury will have to remove from the field the companions not wearing the correct clothing.
